The Next Door Recovery
We are proud to announce that The Next Door Recovery Development Coordinator Kaitlyn McCarthy has been named a finalist for the 2026 Nashville Emerging Leader Awards (NELAS) in the nonprofit category!
Presented annually by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville, The NELAS honors outstanding young professionals ages 21 to 40 who are making significant contributions to their industries and communities. Now in its 19th year, the awards recognize emerging leaders whose professional achievements, leadership, and service are helping shape the future of Middle Tennessee.
Kaitlyn joined TNDR in 2025 and has quickly become an integral part of our fundraising and community engagement efforts. Through her work cultivating donor relationships, supporting strategic initiatives, and sharing the stories of women in recovery, she helps connect the community to TNDR’s mission of empowering women for lifetime recovery.
“We are thrilled to see Kaitlyn recognized among Middle Tennessee’s emerging leaders,” said Susan Weathersby, TNDR director of development. “Her passion for serving women, commitment to our mission, and ability to build meaningful relationships have already made a tremendous impact on our organization and the women we serve. According to the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, finalists were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants and evaluated by industry leaders based on professional achievement, demonstrated leadership, community impact, and essay responses.
Kaitlyn shares: “I am incredibly honored to be named a finalist for the 2026 Nashville Emerging Leader Awards. This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects work that is deeply personal to me. For as long as I can remember, I have known I wanted to dedicate my career to empowering women, and I have also seen firsthand the impact addiction and mental health challenges can have on individuals and families.”
Winners will be announced during The NELAS Ceremony on July 9 at Marathon Music Works.
