When I heard that In Her Shoes was coming back this year, I knew I wanted to be part of it. At its core, this six-week step challenge is about supporting the incredible women of The Next Door Recovery as they work to rebuild their lives and find hope in recovery. It is more than just a physical challenge; it is a movement of compassion and solidarity. While we may be tracking our steps, the real purpose is much bigger than that. Each step represents a commitment to lifting up these women, honoring their courage, and standing alongside them as they take strides toward healing and a brighter future.
For me, every step is a reminder of the strength and resilience it takes to choose recovery each and every day. Each week of the challenge represents a meaningful part of the recovery journey, from taking that first courageous step to walking into a hopeful new chapter. While we track our steps, we are truly walking alongside the women in every part of their journey through courage, healing, and growth. It is a powerful reminder that recovery is not just one moment, but every step that follows. It is a journey that comes with challenges, setbacks, and victories, and I have so much admiration for the women who are doing the hard work to create a new path forward. By participating in In Her Shoes, we’re helping fund programs and resources that give women the opportunity to heal, grow, and build a brighter future for themselves and their families. Every step and every donation helps make that possible.
I’m honored to support an organization that is changing lives every day, and I’m excited to walk alongside so many others who believe in this mission.
If you’d like to support my fundraising efforts, I’d be so grateful. Whether you donate, join the challenge, or simply help spread the word, you’re helping make a difference in the lives of women who are working toward recovery and a fresh start. Thank you for being part of the journey.
